Fast Facts About Custom Drapery And More

Below are facts about custom drapery, other types of window treatments, and more.

It’s All In The Details: When it comes to custom drapery projects, success comes from paying attention to hundreds of details, which is what we thrive at! From start to finish, we’re double checking our work in order to give you exactly what you want, on time.

Linings Are Worth The Investment: Adding linings to window treatments can offer an extra layer of privacy, improve sound insulation, add a thermal barrier, and increase sun-blocking. They can also extend the life of the window coverings, make them look richer, and drape better.

Trims And More: Often, it’s the accoutrements on custom draperies that really make them pop! We can add trim, fringes, banding, beads, braids, tassels – or just about anything else you can dream up.

Custom Bedding: If it’s made of fabric and it goes on or around a bed, we can make it for you. We make all types of bedding, including pillows, shams, duvet covers, dusters, bed scarfs, canopy bed drapes, and more.

Blackout Options: We can add blackout lining to just about any type of custom window treatment, including drapes, valances, and Roman shades.

Cornices Can Make A Room Look Larger: Because cornices tend to draw the eye upward, they can make a room seem larger.

No Space On Either Side Of A Window: If you have little or no space on the sides of a window, Roman shades are a great choice for a window treatment.

Most Common Types Of Drapery Fabrics: We can make any type of window treatment, out of just about any type of fabric. For drapes, the three main types of fabric categories are formal fabrics, casual fabrics, and contemporary fabrics.

We Love To Make Valances: We love to make all types of valances, including swags, cascades, rod mounted valances, board mounted valances, and medallion mounted valances.

Not All Fabrics Make Great Window Coverings: Some fabrics don’t drape well. If you have any questions about whether a particular fabric will work well for the window treatment you’re designing, just give us a call.

Tiebacks: Custom draperies pop even more when you add custom tiebacks! We can make all types of drapery tiebacks, including plain, welted, gathered, bows, knots, and rosettes.

Roman Shades Bring Softness To A Room: Custom Roman shades can be a great alternative to blinds, bringing a softness to the room. Depending on the fabric and options you choose, Roman shades can seem feminine, masculine, or neutral.
